The Story of the Shot

“Home on the Range” is a pretty classic American tune, and a bison herd on Yellowstone’s Northern Range is an equally iconic Western scene. For thousands of years, bison roamed across North America by the millions. After they were almost wiped out around the turn of the 20th Century, Yellowstone become the home of a successful recovery effort. Today, bison herds once again roam wild and free across the plains of Yellowstone. I captured this shot near Tower Junction on a beautiful spring day. I liked the visual layers created by the flat foreground, the sage-covered hillside in the middle, and the distant mountains. Print Type

METAL: Metal prints feature dye directly infused onto a thin sheet of aluminum. They are sleek and modern, featuring vibrant colors and an almost magical luminescence. Because they are made from a solid sheet of metal, they are waterproof and scratch resistant. Also, no framing is required for metal prints! Simply mount the print directly to your wall (mounting hardware is included with each print).

PAPER: Paper prints are un-framed and include just the print itself. The buyer is responsible for matting and framing the print once it has been delivered. That way, you can use a frame that you already have, or choose your own custom frame to better match your existing décor.

PLEASE NOTE: All prints ship directly from my print lab partner and are therefore not able to be signed. If you are interested in a signed print, please contact me to place a custom order. Signed prints usually cost slightly more since I need to have the print shipped twice (once from the print lab to me, and again from me to you).

Shipping

All orders ship for free. Please allow 2-4 weeks total for production and shipping/delivery. At this time, I am only able to ship to the contiguous 48 US states. Any orders with a shipping address outside of this area will be canceled and refunded.
