The Story of the Shot

Every fall, we inevitably get hit with a good snowstorm early enough that the bears are still awake. And while this is very normal and realistically this bear probably didn’t get around to hibernating for another few weeks after this, it’s fun to imagine that he woke up to a fresh snowfall and is running to his den because he forgot he was supposed to be hibernating! I actually took this photo mere moments after capturing this frosty shot of wolf 1267F. As I drove away from the wolf sighting, I went around the bend and spotted this grizzly coming out of the woods toward the road. As he approached the road, he got spooked and made a beeline for it as more cars started to show up. I just barely had enough time to duck into the ditch next to this road and capture this eye-level frame as he bolted across the road!

Print Type

METAL: Metal prints feature dye directly infused onto a thin sheet of aluminum. They are sleek and modern, featuring vibrant colors and an almost magical luminescence. Because they are made from a solid sheet of metal, they are waterproof and scratch resistant. Also, no framing is required for metal prints! Simply mount the print directly to your wall (mounting hardware is included with each print).

PAPER: Paper prints are un-framed and include just the print itself. The buyer is responsible for matting and framing the print once it has been delivered. That way, you can use a frame that you already have, or choose your own custom frame to better match your existing décor.

PLEASE NOTE: All prints ship directly from my print lab partner and are therefore not able to be signed. If you are interested in a signed print, please contact me to place a custom order. Signed prints usually cost slightly more since I need to have the print shipped twice (once from the print lab to me, and again from me to you).

Shipping

All orders ship for free. Please allow 2-4 weeks total for production and shipping/delivery. At this time, I am only able to ship to the contiguous 48 US states. Any orders with a shipping address outside of this area will be canceled and refunded.
